History of Unity Bible College Inc.

       Unity Bible College was established in 2012, in Covington, LA. Inspired by the Lord, Reverend Larry D. Lucas, Jr. organized UBC as an extension of the Christian Bible College of Southeast Louisiana, Slidell, where Reverend Lucas served as dean for three years and an instructor for six years.  Working along with Reverend Lucas was a dedicated staff of men and women: Dr. Laverne Cook, Assistant Dean; Dr. Larry Lucas, Sr., Dr. Richie Gross, Roger Graham, Dr. Nathaniel Dowl, III, Reverend Michael Thomas, Reverend Stanley Nathaniel, Reverend Mary Lucas, Reverend Silas Thomas, Minister Ernest Alexander, III, Minister Maurice Moncure, Bro. Dartanian Sanders and Bro. Charles Watson who exemplified loyalty through serving diligently as instructors.

       In May of 2011 an official board meeting was held and the Board of Governors appointed officers for Unity Bible College: CEO/President, Reverend Larry Lucas, Jr. TH. D., Vice President, Reverend Larry Lucas, SR. T.H. D., Dean, Reverend Laverne Cook, TH. D., Secretary, Reverend Mary Lucas, TH. M., Assistant Secretary, Elder Darren Brumfield, Treasurer, Brother Dartanian Sanders, Instructor of Evangelism, Reverend Larry Lucas, Sr. TH. D., Instructor of Church History and Psychology, Reverend Richie Gross TH. D., Instructor of English, Reverend Mary Lucas TH. M., Instructor of Music, Minister Maurice Moncure, Instructor of Pastoral Ministries and Theology, Reverend Larry Lucas, Jr. TH. D., Instructor of Homiletics, Reverend Stanley Nathaniel BTH.

       First classes began in August 2012 in Covington, LA at Faith Bible Church, Pastor Alfred N. Young, Jr. Classes were held every Tuesday and Thursday nights per school calendar. Unity Bible College became incorporated by the State of Louisiana and a part of the Board of Regents in 2012. Unity Bible College also became an Accredited Theological Institution in December 2012 by The American Accrediting Association of Theological Institution Inc. Unity Bible College is dedicated to “Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth” II Timothy 2:15.
